For over 26 years, Baby Trend has been developing a wide range of baby accessories, from baby walkers to car seats. The aim of the company is to produce affordable products for young children. The company’s innovations have led to the creation of the first seated/standing stroller and the first bucket of nappies, which, depending on the brand, do not require any diaper filling.

Equation of performance

The Sit 'N Stand is not the best version of this stroller style we have ever seen.

The Sit ‘N Stand is not the best version of this stroller style we have ever seen.

Easy to use

Sit N’ Stand received one of the lowest scores in the group for ease of use.

To begin folding into the N position, press the latch with your thumb and then the handle.

Folding and unfolding

Folding a double pushchair in and out is a major problem that can cause difficulties. Folding and unfolding is not difficult here with one hand and in 3-4 steps. It can stand alone and locks automatically, but requires the user to lean on the ground. If you can’t fold the stroller that far, you can fold it with both hands and prevent it from folding. Unwinding is done in two steps, with two hands, and is easier than folding. The first few times can be annoying, but with a little practice it’s not the worst.

Some of the testers leaned forward and released their hands because it was easier than using a leg.

The double-acting brakes on the Sit ‘N stand are difficult to install and very difficult to unlock. Some of the testers leaned forward and released their hands because it was easier than using a leg.

Brakes

The brakes are difficult to adjust and even harder to release. The pedals are double-acting, they must be installed and released on both sides. They’re so strong, we didn’t let them walk with our feet, but we used our hands. The roughness of the underside of the pedal, where the top of the shoe / foot runs, damages the leg and scratches the shoe. When you install them, you will have the impression that they have been installed due to the initial pressure, but that is not the case and you will have to press them a second time to actually install the brakes.

It's not much for two-person deliveries.

The Sit ‘N’s storage basket is difficult to access from any angle and can only hold 5 pounds. It’s not much for two-person deliveries.

Storage

The storage basket is smaller than that of some competitors and access to the back and sides is difficult to use. It also has access from above, but depending on the seating configuration, access to the basket from above can be difficult. We could put in our big diaper bag, but it only weighs 5 pounds. We doubt if the garbage can was even designed with a diaper bag in mind.

The cup holders for the parent plates on the Sit 'N stand are so deep that most objects cannot fall out, but the closed part of the tray is too small to be very useful.

However, the cupholder takes a bottle or cup with it.

This stroller is equipped with seats for parents and children, but unfortunately they are not all equally good. The parent tray (top left) has two cup holders and is compatible with water bottles, baby bottles and cigarette cups. The baby bowl (top right) has a flat bowl and almost the same flat cup holder for bottles and cigarette holders, but not anymore. When he picks up the bottle, it probably falls there shortly after you’ve squeezed it, and it’s probably more to show off the bottle than to actually use it.

Neither the awning nor the sun visor in the Sit 'N's cabin are that impressive, and although they have peepholes, they really aren't needed because the awning doesn't cover the baby and they have trouble staying open.

Neither an awning nor a parasol gives this impression with Sit ‘N, and although they have pointed windows, they are really not needed because the awning does not cover the baby and it is difficult for him to stay open.

Tent

Baby Trend generally prefers strollers with small awnings, and this is no exception, with small, shielded awnings. The rear awning is sturdy and covers only the child’s head, while the front awning rotates forward to protect the lower sun, but it is useless when it rains. The awnings have small mesh windows with hooks and hinges on the hinged window.

The Sit 'n mode is very easy to use and can be released by most parents with one hand.

The Sit ‘n mode is very easy to use and can be released by most parents with one hand.

Fittings

The safety belts in each seat are 5-point belts, which are adjusted and used on average. The shoulder height can only be adjusted by two centimetres, which makes it difficult to adapt to all children. He does have seatbelts that can be used, but not the best. The belt buckle can be used with one hand, and with two hands it is much easier. If you press the button, the pages are displayed automatically, which is very pleasant.

The front seat of the Baby Trend Sit N' Stand has limited reclining possibilities due to its proximity to the back seat and has an old-fashioned bar that rests in predefined grooves.

With this Baby Trend stroller, the rear seat can lean further back than the front seat.

Location

This stroller has no adjustable steps, and in fact the steps are quite dark. Both seats are tilted backwards, one hand at the front and the backrest at the back. The folding chairs are medium sized and the front seats are lighter, but have only two reclining positions. The back seat has infinite tilting possibilities, but doesn’t go very deep. Double baby car seats that are rocking and removable.

Compatibility with car seats

This baby trend takes two car seats with seatbelts. We’ve tested this stroller with Graco’s SnugRide Classic Connect 30, but it also accepts other seats from Baby Trend, Britax, Evenflo and Graco. We are not fans of the band during the installation, because we are afraid that parents will forget or abandon the band during the installation.

The attachment of the seat is one of the worst in the spectacle group. Although it is not necessary to remove the visors to install the chair, it is easier. The back seat is more difficult because you have to fill the leg of the car seat under the rear awning. The hook of the backrest of the car seat tends to get stuck in the cockpit, causing the car seat to tilt. We felt like we were going to drop the car seat.

Easy installation

The Sit N’ Stand is quite easy to set up in 7 minutes. It has only average assembly instructions and is similar to other Baby Trend products. Everything fits together quite easily, and you don’t need any tools to put it all together.

The plastic wheels and rims sway, and the two front wheels grip on objects and easily divert the pushchair from its intended path.

The double front wheels, like the Sit ‘N, did not pass our manoeuvrability tests in the past. The plastic wheels and rims sway, and the two front wheels grip on objects and easily divert the pushchair from its intended path.

Maneuverability

If you’re not already disappointed by the Sit N’ Stand, the settlement will probably seal the deal. It offers low maneuverability, which is not the weakest of the group, but still not impressive. Many inline options are difficult to push and turn, but the best have nicer wheels and tires than this one.

Turning this stroller requires more effort, but the narrower design makes it easier to fit through smaller doors. Pushing and turning on hard ground is difficult, but it becomes even more difficult on coarser ground and gravel. The two plastic front wheels make the whole stroller shake and give the impression of a fragile mess. Individual front wheels work best, and anything but plastic is the way to get a smooth ride.

The N-support weighs more than 31 pounds and when folded weighs more than 21,000 cubic centimetres.

The N-support weighs more than 31 pounds and when folded weighs more than 21,000 cubic centimetres.

Weight and bending angle

Weight – 31 pounds 5 ounces. This is below the group average of £32 and well below £37.8. The folding size of the Sit N’ stand is just over 21,000 cubic centimetres. That’s a pretty big fold.

The quality of the Sit 'N Stand is comparable to that of other Baby Trend strollers, but cannot be compared to other products in our magazine.

Quality

Sitting N’ Stand got the lowest score (3) in the quality group. The fabric of this stroller seems fragile and has a small filling. The net of the straps looks cheap compared to the competitors, and the sights don’t want to stay open. It all sounds pompous and like you’ve had it for years. The frame is sturdy but looks cheap with a few plastic parts and it folds to give the impression that the stroller can fold itself. Overall, the finish is sloppy and disappointing compared to the competition.

The wheels and tyres are made of plastic with a double front wheel, which we don’t like. Pushing is difficult, but the harder the pressure, the more weight you gain. The…

The overall finish of the Sit 'N booth is sumptuous and you can even feel it from the start.

The overall finish of the Sit ‘N booth is sumptuous and you can even feel it from the start.

The steering wheel is non-adjustable and offers very limited hand space thanks to the foldable knob in the middle. The foam plug is nice, but this central handle fits in your hands.

So it's not the best solution for twins if you don't want to argue about each other's place.

The Baby Trend Sit ‘N is equipped with two seats and can accommodate two baby carriers, but there are still plenty of variations of the latter. So it’s not the best solution for twins if you don’t want to fight over who’s in each other’s shoes.

Twins

This stroller works for twins thanks to the possibility to bring two car seats. However, the difference in driving experience between the front and rear seats can make it difficult for older children to decide who gets which seat. The front seat offers more legroom, while the rear seat can be slid further back. Both have a baby tray, but this can make the back seat feel too tight. The last problem is the stacking of sitting and standing, which can be a problem if neither twin wants to sit in the front but prefers the freedom to stand up. We believe this product is probably best suited for families with children of all ages and abilities.

We have also found that when the seat of the car is attached to the back seat, there is a serious problem with holding the steering wheel, because the seat prevents this and leaves little room for the hands. We don’t know what they were thinking, but parents with big hands rub their ankles against the baby’s shell every time they press it.
