For 26 years or more, Baby Trend has been developing products in the field of youth medicine. From the beginning, the company has developed low-cost products for growing families. Baby Trend has developed the first sitting and standing stroller and the Snap-N-Go. They make a wide variety of baby products, from diapers and car seats to high chairs and pushchairs and everything in between.
Equation of performance
Thanks to the large expedition children’s bin, this stroller looks a bit uneven.
Easy to use
The Baby trend is not as easy to use as most competitors, largely due to features that mark the cell but do not work as well as we had hoped.

The shipping lock is not designed to keep the pushchair in a compact position.
Folding and unfolding
This Baby Trend has a double-sided fold and has no automatic closure or carrying handle, but can withstand it. This is an average value at three levels compared to competitors. After unlocking the side protection flap of the frame, it can be pulled out of the bottom of the seat with one hand.
The second step in the folding process is the simultaneous tensioning of the wringers on both sides of the frame.
You can reduce the mounting when you remove the front wheel, but you will have to wear out two parts. Because of the heavy weight and the sticky expansion handle, the legs are difficult to bend and the leg support is elongated, which makes it cumbersome. Deployment requires 2 hands and 2 steps, without safety belts, and you must be careful when opening it to prevent it from falling over.
The double-acting brakes on the shipment can sometimes jump over the transmission and give the impression that they are engaged when they are not.
Brakes
The brakes of this stroller are of medium complexity in terms of installation and unlocking. They are double acting and require both sides to be installed independently of each other. Double brakes have a better chance to move, because both mechanisms have to be activated to park the stroller. Parents may forget to do one of the games, or decide not to do it if they are in a hurry.
The transport basket has a low weight limit, which makes it somewhat useless.
Storage
The Baby Trend has an extra large storage container, but the maximum capacity is only 5 pounds, making it somewhat useless. This container is accessible from the rear and sides, and we have been able to install our extra large diaper bag through the rear opening, but with a weight limit of 5 pounds it must be almost empty to stay within the container’s limits.
The parent drawer of this stroller is equipped with two cup holders and a closed storage compartment in which most smartphones can be stored, including the larger ones. It is convenient for the shipment to have cup holders, but there are also safety considerations, as they are placed high up in a pram behind the baby’s head and lie flat. This means objects can fall on a child’s head. During the test we noticed that most of the water bottles fell and most of them ended up on our fake baby.
It also has two zippered pockets on the back of the umbrella. The maximum allowed weight in the bin and the old bags is 2.5 kg, which is oddly more than in a bin under the seat. The Baby Trend also has a baby bowl (top right) with cup holders and a flat snack tray. Cups do not fit in normal water cups or bottles. The drawer can be opened from the side for easy access to the seat. It’s detachable, too.
The back seat of the expedition doesn’t go back enough to be able to sleep really comfortably.
Tent
The awning is small and has no SPF value, but has ventilation and a spy window. The window is reticular and small, but so is the shadow. The shade does not cover the knees of old babies and the side protection is small, but the awning can be turned forward for extra protection from the sun.
A 5-point belt on an expedition can become a 3-point belt when the shoulder straps are loosened. This makes the tapes less safe and we do not recommend their use.
Fittings
This stroller is equipped with a 5-point harness that is difficult to put on and take off. It has height adjustable shoulder straps and an adjustable crotch strap that has no padding, but it is quite difficult to attach it properly and is stiff for attaching and detaching.
The expedition switch is easy to use, but not as comfortable as a simple push of a button.
Location
Baby Trend is tilted down with one hand, but it takes two hands to lift it. It has two adjustable side strips with an infinite number of possible positions. In the reclining position the seat is extra ventilated and has no adjustable footrest, but a soft padding for comfort and a wide footrest.
Compatibility with car seats
The Expedition is only compatible with the Baby Trend car seat, no adapters for other brands.
Easy installation
The expedition took almost 7 minutes, but this was our second time, so the first time, to be honest, was more like 8 minutes. The documentation for this stroller is average, but it seems to be an improvement over previous versions. The instructions and illustrations are average and do not require any adjustment tools.
Baby Trend’s wheels are similar to those of bicycles, both pneumatic and rubber.
Maneuverability
Baby Trend has the most impressive result when it comes to measuring mobility.

This is an impressive result for a stroller, which is an astonishing average.
The rotating front wheel of the shipment can be locked to restrict movement over rough terrain.
The shipment can be returned easily and conveniently, but not as conveniently as the other options. It fits better with less space than the Baby Jogger , but it tilts a little if you turn quickly or abruptly. Thanks to the swivelling front wheel, it can be easily moved and only needs one hand. In off-road and impassable terrain, it also rolls easily over grass and gravel.
The expedition is quite easy to fold, but forms a strangely shaped package with a children’s tray and a large front wheel that goes in and out of the trunk.
Weight and bending angle
The shipment has an average weight and size in folded form.

It weighs 23.7 pounds, which is lighter than the group average, but still more than 6 pounds heavier than the lightest stroller. This stroller has a folding size of 12,463 cubic centimetres.
Baby Trend did not do well with the lowest score of the group, but with the wheelchairs it cost a lot more than the shipment.
Quality
The quality of this baby trend is equal to the lower price. The shipment has a steel frame with several hinge points and plastic connectors.

It’s a solid frame, but it looks cheap. The design and layout of this stroller is simple and appropriate. Unfortunately, everything seems to be cheap.
The expedition has a mesh window that is closed with two Velcro fasteners.
The fabric of the seat is a softer fabric, with suede on the upper part of the seat to which the child’s head is guided. The sides of the seat are made of a smoother material, which looks cheaper but is easier to clean in the head area than canvas. The storage basket is made of the same material as the sides of the seat, with mesh strips on the sides (similar to those of the window).
The wheels of the shipment consist of tyres and rubber. This is a bicycle-like bike that has a lot of slack when attached to the frame. We don’t think this is a deal, but it is proof of the overall quality and attention to detail of this stroller and is likely to cause some vibration and sway over time. The steering wheel is not adjustable and is 41 inches away. The testers liked the ergonomic shape, but growth can be a problem for small parents.
The expedition has no suspension and affects the comfort and ability of the passenger to turn around without pushing the baby. The large tyres help a little, but without suspension it is difficult to compete in terms of comfort. It also has a seat with minimal padding and a stiffer backrest, which is not as good as the sling type of chairs found in most competitions.
Accessories
The accessories include a rain cover, which is sold separately. It is a transparent polyvinyl cover that is fastened with hooks and loops and fits in the pram pocket when not in use.
