Review of Urbini Reversi Stroller

This stroller has a nice name, but what about its function?

Urbini products have cute names in their cute style. But when it comes to the Urbini Reversey stroller, the name can only be one of the best. Despite the fact that this stroller is durable, has two different means of transport and can become a travel system, it is simply not as easy to use as it could be. There are major design flaws, and for a stroller at this price I would expect much more. I recommend to keep looking for a better stroller (e.g. Summer Infant 3D Lite Convenience).

Three steps in one

Reversey’s more than a pretty name. This means that you can rotate the child seat forwards or backwards. So let’s take a look at these two modes of transport.

Travel system

This pushchair can be converted into a travel system using the car seat adapter method. This special pushchair is only compatible with the Sonti car seat. You must purchase an adapter set, which is available from the manufacturer. This adapter set uses a tower method to attach the car seat to the stroller. This basically means that there are two plastic parts of the adapter at the joints where the seat is normally attached. So instead of attaching the seat, simply attach the adapter on both sides and click the Sonti car seat into place. Personally, I think there are safer and more efficient ways to click on the car seat, but it really works to turn this stroller into a travel system if you prefer to use it that way.

If you want a tourist system, there are better ones than Urbini Reversi and Sonty. Read our article The best travel systems to find the best systems for babies.

Pushchairs for parents

The biggest advantage of this stroller is that it can be placed in front of or in front of the parents. Many parents want their child to keep their head above water, especially in the first year of life. It just makes them feel closer to their child. The face-to-face interaction is important for your baby’s development and makes your baby feel happier and closer to his or her mother or father.

The child can sit in that chair with its back facing each other, or I’d say face to face until the parent weighs 35 pounds. Then, for some reason, they’ll have to turn around until they reach the 50 pound weight limit. I think it has something to do with the way the chair is fixed when it’s facing backwards.

Stroller with front lid

The third mode is the traditional mode of the Reversi stroller. In this mode, the pushchair seat is forward facing like any other lightweight pushchair with an umbrella on the market. Children can stay in this position until they reach 50 pounds.

The manufacturer and others claim that a child under the age of 4 can be placed in this seat. I apologize. My four-year-old son doesn’t fit in that pram. I have a feeling he’ll be too tall and weigh about 47 pounds. This way, if you have a small and light child, you can use it from the seat until it is 3 years old. You should also look for a stronger stroller or just let your big baby walk.

Mode switching

I touched it a bit when I was talking about turning the Reversi into a travel system, but it’s quite easy to push the seat forward and look back. All you need to do is hold a pair of release levers on each side of the car seat where it is attached to the frame of the pushchair. Just remove the seat, turn it over and push it down. It’s really easy to do and you’ll hear a loud, audible click when it’s in place so you know it’s safe. This part of the stroller is very comfortable and easy, even for a person like me who has absolutely no strength in his hands.

Design and functionality

The stroller has a very pleasant and modern design. It’s minimalist and light. But does it have any functionality? Maybe not.

Solid frame

The pram is made of light metal. He feels very strong and powerful. Actually, this is my favorite part of the place. It’s not plastic and it’s not easy to bend brittle metal like another lightweight pushchair with an umbrella. And he only weighs about 22 pounds with the chair on it.

Not so easy to fold

Folding the stroller is a real challenge. First of all, make sure that the seat is securely fastened in the front position and that it is not folded back at all. It can be painful if you drive your car in front of your parents and want to keep yourself together for a while. Once it’s done, it’s hard to bend it. You must press the foot lever on the underside of the pushchair and at the same time press the two sliding handles on each handle of the pushchair. Then the bottom view jumps up and folds down and press the pushchair until it is fully folded.

After bending he really stands on his own, which makes the journey pleasant. If you want to get on a bus or something like that, you have to fold it very quickly, put it next to you and turn around when you are ready to move on. So, despite the fact that it is small and compact when folded and stands on its own to fold, you need to have your hands free and good coordination.

Good wheels, bad brakes

The wheels of this car seat are very strong. They are made of durable plastic and are suitable for this type of wheelchair. Both front wheels have a swivel function, which makes moving forward much easier.

It has a braking system, but it’s an individual braking system. The brake pedal must be pressed for each of the rear wheels. It can be good or bad. It is nice to be able to simply use the foot brake on one of the wheels if you make a quick stop. But if you want to stop for a while, or if you have a very wavy baby in the stroller, you have to have both brakes on, which is frustrating. Again, for a stroller of this price it would be good to have a brake system with one leg.

Good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good.

On the underside of the stroller there is a large mesh storage basket. The size of this thing is great! This one is so spacious that it surprises with a light pushchair with umbrella. But this is where the functional role really comes into play. You can’t put anything in this basket!

If you look closely at the pictures of the stroller, you will see that the X stripes on the frame of the stroller itself completely block it. There is now an access point with a zipper, but it makes getting in and out so difficult. In addition, you are limited to items that can be added and removed using zip access. So there is virtually no need for large diaper bags or similar items that would fit perfectly if these rods were out of the way!

It is probably the most disappointing feature of this car seat. Look at any other retailer and you’ll see that this is the number one complaint about this stroller, and rightly so.

In fact, there are no other memory functions to talk about. Okay, so there’s a cup holder for parents that’s attached to the steering wheel. But I almost don’t want to see it as a landing, because it’s so fragile and has an open-cut design. You can’t put anything valuable in there except a plastic water bottle.

If I pay more than 50 bucks for a pram, I’m expecting some kind of locker. Because the basket underneath is unusable and the cupholder is also not in good condition, this stroller F chops into the shelf.

Child comfort

In addition to design and functionality, Urbini has added a number of elements for the comfort of a baby in a stroller.

  • Wearing seat belt. There are 5-point safety belts that are easy to put on and are equipped with shoulder straps. These blankets are not very good, but they are sufficient to prevent the thick nylon strips from irritating the child’s neck and shoulders.

  • Rice. You can easily fold the seat in different positions with one hand. All you have to do is press a small lever on the side and you can fold the back of the seat. You can even fold the seat flat, which is practical for newborns or small babies.

  • Large awning. The thing itself is big enough, but if you take the thinner one off, it’s really big. I also like that the proportion of diluent decreases for the baby, and not just on the head. Even if it’s a little bigger and takes up a little more space, it’s worth it because it fully protects your child from the sun and is also useful when it starts raining. The material of the awning is quite thin. So don’t try to place any objects on the canopy or let the canopy get stuck on something, because it can easily tear.

Nut recommendation

Urbini Reversi is cute and has beautiful qualities. It can be a forward facing pushchair like any other lightweight pushchair with an umbrella or a pushchair with an umbrella towards the parents. You can also turn it into a travel system using separately available plastic adapters and the Sonti car seat. However, if you are only looking for one travel system, look elsewhere. Buying them individually creates an expensive travel system that doesn’t work as well.

The design of the Urbini Reversi stroller is cute, but the functionality just isn’t there. You don’t have access to the big mesh basket. In fact, there is no storage space for you or your baby. To keep the pushchair in place, you will need to make two separate foot brakes. The seat must be placed at the front and must stand completely upright so that it can be folded down. I like the large canopy and the very solid and light frame construction. But other than that, I think it’s better to spend my money somewhere else. For this price there are too many disappointments in this stroller. I advise you to look at another pram.
