Joovy Caboose Ultralight Graphite is an in-line stroller with seat and tripod function and a rear seat with extra equipment. This sitting and standing product is better than most of these strollers because of its light weight, low fold and easy handling. It is not the highest score, but it is the highest score for this type of stroller, and it deserves an honourable mention for parents who need a one-way ticket for two passengers of different ages. The Caboose may not be able to handle everything, like two car seats, but what it offers makes it good and affordable.

Folding and unfolding
Caboos needs two hands to bend and has three steps. This is the average value for the ease of folding, and you have to pull up and tilt the liberator on both sides at the same time to complete the folding. He can’t stay alone and has a hand lock. It is easier to turn the stroller and lean it on the ground with one hand and one step.
The Caboose offers double-acting brakes that are not suitable for sandals.
The brakes are single and medium for easy adjustment and release. Simple brakes are cheap and rare for this style of product, a welcome change.
Access to the safe is easier with a sliding sofa than with some other participants who have little or no access to the safe. However, if you choose the Caboose backseat, access is almost nil. The maximum allowed weight for the basket is 5 lbs, and a smaller opening means it is difficult to put a diaper bag in the basket. The basket itself is medium-sized, but we couldn’t put a diaper bag in it.
The cabin has a neoprene parental console (top left) with 2 pockets for cup holders and Velcro and zippered pockets for small items. The bags are easy to use and can carry about 5 pounds. The supports work well and thanks to the curvature of the fabric, even strangely shaped objects can slide through. The baby bowl (top right) also works with bottles and swallowing, but the supports are flat and higher objects can fall over.
Sunsailing is the best way to sit and stand. The front hood is large and covers most of the baby’s head and part of his body. The rear seat does not have a real hood, but a piece of fabric that reaches from the front seat with zippers to the frame and closes the child in front and back without the side upholstery. The curtain of the rear seat does not work on the older child on which the rear platform is mounted. Neither lid is equipped with a viewing window or ventilation, but neither has enough space to let them through.
The Caboose buckle is quite easy to use and we really liked the belt material.
The trunk is equipped with a 5-point belt for the front seat and a 3-point belt for the rear seat (standard). Both are easy to land and launch, but not as easy to adapt as their competitors. The shoulder height adjustment has three variations and changes the height in the front seat, while there is no seat belt in the rear seat. The cruciate ligaments are firmly attached to both seats, but their length can be adjusted. The belts also help to connect the car seat, which is not ideal because you cannot adjust the belts to the existing seat. You should guess the length of the tape and repeat the installation if it needs to be adjusted.
Starting the cabin stocking from the front seat is not as easy as it seems or should be.
The front seat can be tilted backwards with one hand and has three positions. It’s a little harder to use than it should be, and it’s not flat enough to be comfortable. The back seat does not tilt at all and you cannot tilt the front seat if there is a child in the back seat.

Compatibility with car seats
The Caboose can be used with a child car seat and is compatible with some of the following brands of car seats: Baby Trend, Britax/BOB, Chicco, Cybex, Evenflo, Graco, Maxi-Cosi, Nuna, Peg Perego, Safety 1 and UPPAbaby. We tested the Caboose with Britax B-Safe 35, Chicco Keyfit 30, Cybex Aton 2, Evenflo Embrace, Graco Click Connect 35, Graco Click Connect 40 and Maxi-Cosi Mico Max 30.
You do not need to install any adapters, but you do need to remove the child carrier to attach it. All child seats are connected to safety belts and may be installed incorrectly if the belts are not fastened correctly. We are concerned that some parents may forget their seatbelt or prefer not to use it, thus posing a potential safety risk.
None of the chairs were very easy to install or remove, but they were all securely attached after installation. All places in our tests have the same score and we do not recommend one place after another.
The footrest on the front seat of the car seat is adjustable and can be raised sufficiently so that the child can lie almost evenly with the footrest.
The Caboose turned out not to be very good for an easy installation, the installation time was more than 14 minutes. However, the documentation is good and we like the Quick Start Guide with useful illustrations. It’s not as clear as it could be, but the number of things you have to put together is the real problem.
The Caboose is equipped with double plastic front wheels that make pushing and turning a routine job.
The cabos are not characterised by their manoeuvrability.
If necessary, the front wheels of the Caboose can be locked for better control over rough terrain.
None of the seat and tripod models impress when it comes to driving behaviour. This stroller is narrower, making it easier to move in tight spaces, but the plastic wheels and two front wheels make it harder than it should be to move, and some testers kick the back of the stroller when they move. He keeps fighting off-road, needs more power on the grass and stops on the gravel. It is probably best to keep this option on hard, flat surfaces.
Joovy Caboose Ultralight Graphite is the lightest stroller in this ratio and the third largest in folded form.
Weight and bending angle
With a total weight of 23.4 pounds, the Caboose is the lightest option in our double wheelchair test. Caboesus is also relatively small in combination with one of the smallest dimensions in the group of 11,634 cubic inches. The lightness and small size give Caboose edges for weight and folded dimensions.

For the Joovy product it got a low score, but it can score higher than most comparable options. This stroller has a heavier fabric that feels stronger, but is not very soft. When sewing, the sole of some babies falls behind the knee to the edge of the seat and can tear. What’s more, the material seems to get stuck on the edge easily. We like the material of the straps (very soft and elastic), but the seat has only medium padding for comfort.
The Caboose is as light as the many double walking umbrellas.
The frame has an umbrella style and a utilitarian look without flowing, attractive lines. The overall fit and finish is on the blunt side, and the plastic parts and wheels look cheap, which affects the overall design. The steering wheel is unregulated, narrow and flat, which is not very comfortable to hold and can cause fatigue on long journeys.
The stroller has rigid shock absorbers front and rear and the front seat is rigid with minimal padding. The rear seat is a rigid bench with light, backless upholstery, so the comfort of this passenger is even less than on the front seat.
Joovy Caboose Ultralight Graphite is a lightweight double stroller that can be installed on a baby car seat.
A cabin is not the best choice for twins, given the differences between the seats and the lack of a car seat for two people. Although this option is interesting for parents with an active parent, younger child, you only need one car seat, making it impossible to use it with two babies of the same age. Even if you buy it for twins who are big enough to fit in the chair, they probably won’t agree on who will get up and who will take a nap.
